In this seminar, we discussed how to migrate an existing Access system to Azure SQL Database.

Previously, until Access 2010, there was an "Upsizing Wizard" to perform migration to a SQL Server. By improving and extending this functionality, we are finally releasing a new upsizing tool called "Access Azure Drive (AZD)". This tool makes it easy to migrate Access to the cloud.

By converting Access to the cloud, Access data will be managed with Azure security and compliance regulations, and can be integrated with a variety of services. Furthermore, advanced data analysis and integration with PowerApps and other applications will lead to the development of low-code/no-code web applications and even smartphone applications.

Inforce was involved in the actual development of the Upsizing Wizard at Microsoft headquarters in the United States. Mr. Kazuhiko Nishi, former Vice President of Microsoft HQ in the U.S. and founder of ASCII, will give a lecture.
